Run the restaurant from one screen.

An internal management tool for Philippine restaurants: track every order from counter to kitchen, keep the menu and stock straight, and see the day's numbers — with VAT and senior/PWD discounts computed the way the law says, not the way a calculator guesses.

Runs in a browser on the tablet or laptop you already have. Nothing to install.

Everything the restaurant runs on, in one place.

One app for the counter, the kitchen and the office. Every branch, every device, one sign-in.

1

Order tracking

Dine-in, take-out and delivery, entered once and followed from counter to kitchen to handover. Modifiers, notes and discounts by diner. Built to be fast under a queue.

2

Kitchen screen

Orders reach the kitchen and the counter the moment they are rung up, split between what is cooked and what is fetched, with how long each has been waiting.

3

Menu and board

Categories, PLUs, photos and prices — import the whole menu from a spreadsheet. A customer-facing board for the wall or the window.

4

Inventory and purchasing

Stock items, recipes, suppliers and purchase orders with photographed delivery notes. Sales draw down stock; waste is logged with a photo, not lost; stock moves between branches.

5

Reports

Daily sales, best sellers, sales by category and by hour, discounts given and VAT collected — per branch or all your branches together. Every report exports as a spreadsheet.

6

Tax done properly

Senior citizen and PWD discounts on the diner's VAT-exclusive share, whether or not you are VAT-registered, with the number from your BIR-registered receipt recorded against each order so the two records reconcile.

Made for restaurants here.

Umako is not a point-of-sale system and does not issue receipts. It is the tool the restaurant runs itself with, built in the Philippines for how service actually runs here.

Good fit

  • A carinderia or coffee shop that wants to stop keeping the menu in someone's head.
  • A family restaurant with a kitchen that needs to see tickets, not hear them.
  • An operator with two or more branches who wants one report, not three group chats.
  • Anyone who has ever argued with a customer about a senior discount.

What you bring

  • A tablet, laptop or desktop with a modern browser and an internet connection.
  • Your own BIR-registered receipting — an accredited POS or a printed booklet. Umako records the invoice number against the order; it does not issue the receipt.
  • Your menu, in your head or in a spreadsheet — either works.

Pricing

Per branch, per month. No setup fee, no contract, no charge per order or per device.

Public beta. Every plan is free while the beta runs. We will email you at least 30 days before that changes, and the date will show in the app. Why a beta: everything a restaurant needs day to day is built and in use. The first restaurants are helping us find the rough edges, and we would rather do that for free than charge for it.

If this does not fill in, ask us below.

Prices are shown as they are set today and are the same numbers you will be billed at. Change plans at any time; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.

Your data, handled carefully.

Encrypted per restaurant

Personal information, delivery notes and waste photos are encrypted with AES-256 under a key unique to each restaurant. Backups are encrypted in full, with keys the hosting provider cannot use.

Hosted in Singapore

On Akamai (Linode) infrastructure, with the people who run Umako working from the Philippines. Nobody on our side has a screen that shows your orders.

Yours to take away

Reports, the menu and the activity log export as spreadsheets any time. Close the account yourself and you can change your mind for 26 days; then you get a complete copy of everything, the data is deleted on day 30, and a certificate of disposal follows when it is gone.

The details are in the Terms of Service, the Data Processing Agreement and the Privacy Policy, each versioned and hashed so what you agreed to can always be checked.

Questions

Is this a POS?

No. Umako is an internal management tool: it tracks orders, runs the kitchen screen and keeps the menu, stock and reports. It is not a BIR-accredited receipting system, so your official receipt or sales invoice still comes from your registered POS or booklet; Umako records that number against the order so the two can be reconciled.

What hardware do I need?

Any device with a modern browser — an Android tablet, an iPad, a laptop or a desktop. The kitchen screen is any screen with a browser. Nothing is installed.

Does it work when the internet drops?

Not yet. Umako needs a connection; a mobile hotspot is enough. If offline operation matters to you, tell us by email — it helps us decide what to build next.

How is the senior citizen discount computed?

The 20% discount and the VAT exemption apply to the senior's share of the bill, computed on the VAT-exclusive amount, as RA 9994 and its rules require. A group of three with one senior gets the discount on one third. PWD discounts under RA 10754 work the same way.

Can I bring my menu from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Download the spreadsheet template, fill it in (or paste from what you have), and import it. You review every row before anything is saved.

What happens when the beta ends?

You will be emailed the date at least 30 days ahead, and the price will be the one shown above per branch per month. After the date you have 15 days of grace to choose a plan; nothing stops until then, and taking orders and the kitchen screen never stop for non-payment alone. If you would rather stop, close the account from Settings — you get a complete copy of your data, and there is no lock-in.

Who can see my data?

Your staff, according to the roles you give them — and every setting they change, every sign-in that fails and every export they take is in an activity log you can read. Staff join by an emailed link and set their own password; anyone can add a second sign-in step from an authenticator app. On our side, nobody has a tool that reads a restaurant's orders or customers; our operator console manages accounts, billing and backups, not your business records.

Get an account, or ask anything.

During the beta we set accounts up by hand, one conversation at a time. Email us with the restaurant's name, how many branches, and roughly how many orders a day, and we will reply within a working day.
